Compositions

Midway through my career as a middle school band teacher, I became frustrated with how little repertoire there is available for students in first year band, especially in the first few months of playing. I got tired of having the students play eight-measure exercises from their method book at their first concert. It was then I decided to use my compositional skills to fill the need for repertoire that is achieveable by young, inexperienced players that will make them successful, while presenting them with reasonable but achieveable challenges.
